I met little Avie last year for photos with her big sister so it was lovely to be asked to capture her first birthday with a cake smash!
I love doing cake smash sessions at my studio near Wigton. Plenty of space to get messy!
Avie and her sister look so adorable in their little outfits, Avie loved the balloons and we managed to get some great smiles before the cake came out!
All my cakes are made by Delicious Doughnuts and Delights based in Aspatria, they are a lovely soft sponge with tempting buttercream on the top.
Avie loved the cake and once the wooden spoon came out and she could smash the cake with it we had lots of fun. Izzy her big sister got involved too!
After the cake smash I always make time for a little splash too – just to clean off those cake crumbs!
Its always such a fun shoot to do, I love to decorate for this and have a great time with balloons. It does tend to be that we all get messy too but that’s part of the fun!
Plus all shoots include 4 keepsake cookies to take home afterwards in case you are jealous that the kids get all the cake!
