Freddie – cake smash

Its always great to see babies again after their newborn portraits and celebrate their first birthday and what better way to celebrate than with cake!

Freddie arrived at the studio raring to go, we had lots of fun first with balloons and blocks and playing peekaboo and wind the bobbin up, he has the most adorable smile!

After having some fun first we then presented him with a fab cake (provided by Delicious Doughnuts and delights). Freddie was gentle with the cake at first, prodding the cream but soon with the addition of a spoon he decided to use this to help him smash the cake, even putting his feet in it!

When he had enough of the cake we cleaned up and popped him in a bath where we had fun blowing bubbles!

I do love a cake smash, its such a fun way to celebrate your first birthday!

Aria & Delilah

In the summertime (when its not raining!) its nice to do photo sessions outdoors and its perfectly possible to do newborn sessions outside too.

I have done a few photo sessions with Aria before so it was lovely to meet her new baby sister Delilah.

We did this photo session in Fletchertown, near Wigton. There are lots of little areas there with long grasses and buttercups in the summertime, there is even a little playpark for bribery for smiles!

My mini sessions in Fletchertown in the summertime are a fab way to get some up to date family portraits – contact me for more information

Georgie, Valentines portraits

I love to photograph mini studio sessions throughout the year and theming them is one of my favourite things to do.

With Valentines happening recently it was an excuse for hearts, flowers and adorable little Georgie came back to see me for a session.

The last time I saw her she was a tiny newborn! For an at home family lifestyle session.

She is such a cutie and loved the confetti and balloons – how adorable does she look in the floral halo too! Super cute!

Contact me to find out about upcoming mini portrait sessions – maybe with the Easter bunny….?!!

Huey family – Tarn Hows portraits, Lake District

I love to photograph families – no matter what the ages and photographing outside in the Lakes is great fun. Barbara contacted me to say her family were coming over from Ireland for a holiday in the Lakes.

I loved the idea of photographing an extended family with grandparents, children and grandchild too as well as a dog!

We headed to Tarn Hows near where they were staying. It was a lovely sunny morning for portraits and everyone had lots of fun trying to act casual and laughing together.

I love how even without a baby to cuddle there is always Bonnie the dog as an alternative!

Wigton family portraits

I love doing extended family portraits and its special to do something like this for grandparents although its always a challenge getting lots of different aged babies together for one photo!

I try and make these sessions very natural – this took place in the grandparents house in Wigton and we managed to get lots of lovely photos of all of the cousins together and on their own – they are all super cute!

Contact me to book in your own photo session either at home or outdoors!

Delilah & Luke, Cockermouth family portraits

I love doing photo sessions outdoors and we patiently waited for the storms to pass before heading to Memorial Gardens in Cockermouth for some family portraits in the daffodils!

Delilah was very entertaining for the camera – picking her fair share of daffodils and Luke was adorable running around with his stick!

Natural family portraits outdoors are my favourite, the light and the chance for the kids to run around!

Contact me if you would like to arrange an outdoors family photo session now that spring has sprung!

George – Sheffield newborn photographer

I love photographing babies in Sheffield. It wasn’t long ago I photographed Freddie in Ecclesall Woods in the Autumn so it was lovely to meet the new addition to the family – little George!

George was very well behaved for his photos -if but a little bemused by the hats! Freddie was the perfect big brother posing with his toy dinosaur and giving George some enthusiastic cuddles!

Such a cute little family
