Lets throw it back to last summer for today’s blog post, because its so cold outside and I want to feel the sunshine again!
I did a lovely family photo shoot for Laura and Harry in Fletchertown. Our village has the most amazing little spaces for photos and the long grasses in the summer were my favourite (until they were mown down!)
I had a fantastic time last summer making the most of being able to get outdoors for family photo sessions.
Many of these took place in the village I live in; Fletchertown. With outdoor spaces filled with long grass and flowers it was perfect for running around and playing hide and seek in.
Lyra was amazing for her portraits – she even brought along a few toys to keep her occupied, love how wild and free kids can be when they are running through the fields, its my favourite way to photograph families and I am so looking forward to this summer (as long as those restrictions are lifted!)
Winter can be a fantastic time for outdoor portraits, the sun is nice and low in the sky and if its frosty even better! Fletchertown is still a little muddy from the rain we have had the last few months but it is still a beautiful place for portraits if you know where to go!
Olivia wasn’t too keen on her photos to begin with but once we started a game of hide and seek she came into her own. Love her little handbag she had with her.
We had fun on the roundabout in the park and picking berries and flowers. Love these sort of portraits with families, nice and natural and not too long so we don’t get too cold!
Contact me to book in an outdoor photo session. xx
If the weather is lovely and dry and you can brave the cold a winter photo session is awesome. Bobble hats and Christmas jumpers optional of course!
I did a lovely little photo session for Lucas and Shay in Fletchertown the other week. Despite the muddy fields the sun was shining and we had time for lots of running around for the photos.
The little woodland area in the park is great for portraits, perfect for family photos for Christmas!
Our little village has the most perfect little places for photo sessions. In the summer time the fields were full of little patches of long grass and buttercups, great for running around and hiding in.
I love doing family photo sessions outside, so much better for the kids to have a chance to run around and gather those natural smiles rather than the forced posing for the camera, some of my favourite images are the ones where the kids are running towards me. In fact an outdoors photo session is a great workout for me!
With the threat of coronavirus hanging over us all year being outdoors using my zoom lens has meant that I can keep social distance guidelines whilst still having a fun photo session.
Please give me a shout if you would like to book in a family photo session, if you don’t want to be outdoors in the winter why not buy a voucher for your family for a photo session next year in the spring? Perfect Christmas pressie!
