Katie – First birthday cake smash

Its a pleasure to photograph babies as they grow. Katie was first photographed in her Mum’s tummy for an Autumn family portrait session so it was great to see her growing up and to celebrate her first birthday.

We went for a cake smash photo session with some clean photos first, I love the props that the family brought along and the bubble machine worked well as a distraction!

After some photos with her sisters and a few Christmas photos too it was time to eat the cake! I love how most babies start off daintily picking off icing. The spoon is always a good idea to bash the cake too!

Such a fun photo session!

Let me know if you would like to book in a portrait photo session to celebrate your little one’s first birthday in style!

Elouise – cake smash!

What better way to celebrate turning 1 than with a cake smash and a little wander around the Botanical Gardens in Sheffield in your best party dress!

Elouise was a little star for her photographs with lots of smiles and laughs, we even got some walking too!

We got some lovely portraits with Mum and Dad too in amongst the lovely flowers in the Botanical Gardens

After we had enough of running around we got out the unicorn cake to celebrate Elouise’s first birthday and she had great fun destroying it, starting off dainty and then clutching big chunks of cake in her hands!

After she had smashed the cake with her hands and even her feet Mum & Dad decided to get involved too and ended up with cake on their faces too – awesome!!

I wish you a very happy first birthday, it was lovely to meet you all!

Ebony, cake smash

What better way to celebrate turning 1 by smashing a cake and having fun with balloons!

Ebony is adorable and the youngest in the family with three older siblings. We did her first birthday session in my pop up studio in Fletchertown.

Its always great to get some clean photos first before the cake comes out – love Ebony’s personalised babygrow and adorable tutu. She even had an amazing balloon from local company Gift and Stitch.

We managed to get some great photos with her brothers and sister too before we got onto the cake!

Ebony was a little star for the cake – so many babies are confused when you put an entire cake in front of them – I mean its everyone’s dream isn’t it?! Ebony decided to cut out the middle man and face plant the cake – no hands needed!

If you would like to book in a cake smash for your little one let me know – I have special rates for these sessions
