Sienna – newborn portraits

Little Sienna was born just before Christmas and it was lovely to see her joined by her big brother too.

I do love newborn and sibling portraits, always fun to do when they lie down together and snuggle up.

Sienna looked so cute in a little wrap and hairband, she wasn’t too keen on being asleep but after more milk and cuddles she finally fell asleep!

Parents portraits as well as siblings too are so special, even if you do not feel confident in front of the camera it’s worth doing so you have these memories to look back on!

If you are expecting a baby this year drop me a message to book in a newborn session.

Aria, Delilah & Robbie – summertime portraits

I have known Delilah since she was tiny so it was lovely to see their family grow again with the addition of little baby Robbie, a sibling for Aria and Delilah.

We did their photo session outside in Fletchertown in the fields of wild flowers and grasses.

We had fun with the kids lying down on a blanket and holding flowers and running around. I always love outdoors photos, especially when the weather is finally looking better!

Let me know if you would like some up to date family portraits in the summertime long grasses of Fletchertown.

Baby Fraser

It wasn’t too long ago that I was photographing little Fergus as a baby so to meet his new little baby brother Fraser was lovely.

Little Fraser was a superstar for his photos although he didn’t want to sleep and Fergus was so good with his brother kissing him on the head and was very interested in the little baby bed for him!

The family photos are always my favourite as it’s so nice to see everyone cuddled together with their new arrival.

If you are expecting a baby in the Autumn let me know, you can book in for a newborn session around your due date.

Jacob – newborn portraits

Baby Jacob was just one week old when he came into my Wigton studio for his newborn portraits. His parents had come from just up the road in Aspatria.

Jacob was so chilled throughout the photo session, he was awake but happy to just lie on blankets and put up with wearing cute hats!

After photos of just baby on his own we got some photos of him with Mum and Dad too. I love to see how tiny little newborns are compared to their parent’s hands.

Adorable! Contact me to book in a photo session if you are due a new arrival soon!

Effie & Jenson – Mother’s Day minis

I have known this lovely family for a while, photographing Jenson outside in Dodd Wood when he was younger so it was lovely to meet their new addition Effie last year.

Hayley took advantage of our Mother’s Day mini photo sessions offer to get some up to date photos of the family together.

Despite Effie not being keen on having her photo taken we managed to capture some elusive smiles from her which we were so pleased with – there was a lot of singing that went into this!

Effie also loved reading a book with Mum too. I love these cuddled up photos of the family together, a great way of capturing special moments for Mother’s Day!

Baby Maeve – newborn photographs

I love hearing from families about their new arrivals, Maeve’s parents opted to bring their dog along for the photo session which was a great idea. The photo session took place in my studio space in Fletchertown, Cumbria.

Bournville the dog was so well behaved for his photos and even decided to pose on the blankets after Maeve was changed! So lovely!

Maeve was a pleasure to photograph with lots of sleepy smiles and squishy cheeks. We involved the full family in photos too. Maeve’s parents brought along some teddies too which I love to incorporate into photographs.

Naomi & James – Keswick family photographs

Spring was in the air in Keswick for Naomi & James and family. I love doing outdoor family photo sessions in the Lake District and Hope Park in Keswick is an ideal location, close to the lake and also has lovely floral displays and hot chocolate available to buy nearby!

We had a blanket with us as well for photos of the kids lying down and had a wander up to the lake for photos with those spectacular views too.

I will be doing some springtime portraits in the Lakes so if you would be interested drop me a message.

Chenery family – Keswick family portraits

One of the most fun parts of my job is photographing families in the Lake District. Families coming on holiday to the Lakes would love to capture these memories, especially if extended family are coming too.

The Chenery family were on holiday in Windermere and I met them in nearby Keswick for some family photos. The area near the lake by Hope Park is always pretty with great views and access to the lakeside.

We had fun jumping and running around the hills before heading onto the jetties next to the water, finishing off with a trip up to Friar’s Crag for those spectacular views.

We had fun with tree branches, running and hiding too, always great for getting the kids smiling.

The photos were taken in December, outdoor portraits are possible all year round, depending on the weather!

Christmas mini sessions 2023

Well I have now completed all my Christmas mini sessions now and what a year it has been.

It has been so lovely to catch up with families I have photographed before as they are growing and to meet new children too.

We have had fun with snowballs, cuddly toys and my new prop addition, the Elton John glasses!

I also spent two sessions with the lovely kids and parents at the two by two toddler group in Fletchertown as well where we did lots of singing to try and raise the smiles!

It is all worth it and a great idea to give to family as Christmas presents.

If you are looking for some up to date photos of your family drop me a message, I will be running some winter studio mini dates in Jan/Feb.

Happy Christmas to you all!

Daisy – newborn portraits

I met Jasmine when she was around 36 weeks pregnant so it was a pleasure to capture her new arrival; Daisy when she was a few weeks old.

Daisy was a little star for her photos as soon as she was wrapped up and cosy. We found lots of cute hats and headbands for her to wear!

Her big sister was a superstar too, posing for her photos and holding Daisy, such a cute little bond.

I love the photos of baby Daisy with Mum and Dad too, at one point we even thought Daisy was eating Dad’s nose!

Such a cute little family, a pleasure to capture this moment in your lives!

Are you due a baby in 2024? Contact me to book in a date around your due date if you would like me to capture your new arrival!
