Jacob – newborn portraits

Baby Jacob was just one week old when he came into my Wigton studio for his newborn portraits. His parents had come from just up the road in Aspatria.

Jacob was so chilled throughout the photo session, he was awake but happy to just lie on blankets and put up with wearing cute hats!

After photos of just baby on his own we got some photos of him with Mum and Dad too. I love to see how tiny little newborns are compared to their parent’s hands.

Adorable! Contact me to book in a photo session if you are due a new arrival soon!

Baby Carla – newborn photographers Cumbria

Baby Carla was just under two weeks old when she arrived at the studio for her newborn photo session. She brought her family with her including her lovely big sister Julia.

Carla was happy for her photos when we freed her arms from the wrap and she had a nice full tummy,

We took photos of her with her little toys as well. Then it was time for photos with Julia, after a bit of bribery with sweets we managed to get some great photos! Two year olds always know their own minds so its always fun trying to get them to pose!

Lovely family photos to treasure forever, congratulations on your new arrival! xx

Baby Luca

It was lovely to see Luca after I had photographed his Mum’s maternity portraits in Keswick. Iona looked amazing in her lakeside portraits.

Little Luca was absolutely adorable for his newborn portraits, he wasn’t too keen on sleeping but preferred to have plenty of milk!

Luca’s family brought along some personal teddies which was great to include in the photos too.

After we had tried lots of great hats on Luca it was time for some family photographs too. Snuggled into Mum and Dad he was at his most content.

I love to photograph newborn babies in Cumbria, its always lovely to capture these after maternity photographs too.

Eadie, newborn baby portraits

I had the pleasure of meeting little Eadie on Sunday in my studio near Wigton. Eadie was just two weeks old and such a cute little dot, she brought along her big brother and family too.

Eadie’s Mum brought in lots of lovely outfits and blankets/teddies for photo props. I love to incorporate heirloom blankets or handmade knitted items and teddies as this makes the photos so lovely and personal.

Unfortunately Eadie wasn’t too keen on sleeping, she would much rather be feeding! But that’s ok as my well renowned patience allowed me to capture some sleepy moments in between feeding. Please don’t worry if your baby does not sleep, we can still get plenty of lovely photos.

Big Brother Ethan was the best at posing, cuddling his little sister and being generally awesome! We also had time for family photos too.

My little studio space is cosy with lots of hot drinks and biscuits available to keep you going while your little ones are posing!

Baby Aidan – newborn portraits in Cockermouth

In addition to studio newborn photo sessions I also do at home photo sessions too. This was a gift from a group of work ladies for a newborn photo session in their home in Cockermouth.

Baby Aidan was just a few weeks old and such a cutie, we had fun dressing him in the animal hats and posing him with lots of cuddly toys including a giraffe!

As the session was at home we could do photographs in his nursery and cuddled up on the sofa with his doggy friend too.

At home newborn sessions can be booked in around your due date, contact me for more details.

Baby Ace – newborn portraits

Baby Ace is the latest addition to a lovely family I had the pleasure of meeting a few years ago when I photographed his parents wedding in Carlisle.

After a difficult loss it was a pleasure to welcome Ace to the family, his big brother was a superstar for his photos too.

As a beautiful rainbow baby it was nice to add some rainbow touches to his newborn portraits with a fab blanket and hearts.

Ace was so cute and sleepy and then we had time for photos with his big brother and family too. I love family portraits where everyone cuddles up and laughs together, these are the most natural and a pleasure to capture.

It’s always lovely to see a family grow and to photograph families throughout the years.

Contact me if you are due with your baby this year – newborn portraits can be booked in around your due date.

Baby Lottie

Newborn photo sessions in Cumbria are fantastic to do. I especially love it when parents bring in their baby’s siblings too. Its so much fun bringing in siblings for photos, if they are old enough they can hold baby or they can lie next to them.

I have my ways of getting siblings to oblige – they may involve marshmallow bribes! Baby Lottie was adorable and her big sister was so good for photos with her too.

Love when her sister cuddles her close in the basket. Its worth getting photos of parents with baby too, these are such cute photos.

Lottie’s parents brought some props in as well including some lovely letters spelling her name. Adorable. I always incorporate props if you want to bring them along.

Newborn photo sessions are usually best done within the first two weeks of baby arriving. However, they can be done up to a few months old.

Contact me if you would like to book in a newborn photo session

Baby Cohen

Newborn photography in Cumbria is such a great job. Especially when you meet such a cute and cuddly baby as Cohen. Such a great head of hair on a tiny newborn, adorable!

His Mum and Dad came to the studio too so it was great to get photos of everyone together too.

Cohen looked so cute in the rabbit hat and his Mum and Dad brought a teddy in for photos with him too.

Newborn sessions are relaxed and natural, we take our time and make sure baby is lovely and sleepy for photos.

If you are due a baby this year drop me a message and we can book in a photo session for you.

Baby Harriet

Newborn photography is one of my favourites and it was particularly lovely to photograph Harriet as it wasn’t that long since I had done maternity portraits for her Mum!

My newborn portraits are based in my studio space in Fletchertown, not far from Wigton and Aspatria and a stone’s throw from the main road its perfect.

Harriet is so cute, her parents brought along some outfits and cute teddies to use for the photos. It was great to photograph her in the vest we used for the maternity portraits.

Harriet slept like a dream until we took the nappy off then it was a poo-nami! Bless her! We got some lovely photos of her with her parents too. These are always my favourite, just the three of you cuddled together with baby. Its such a special time and I feel so privileged to capture these memories.

If you are due this year drop me a message to book in a photo session around your due date xx

Baby Maxwell, newborn portraits

I love photographing newborn babies, it doesn’t matter if they are just a week old or up to 6 weeks, its always worth capturing those moments with your new arrival!

Baby Maxwell was just a few weeks old and absolutely adorable. He wasn’t too keen on staying asleep which I think it lovely as you can see his eyes.

His patient big brother waited for his turn in getting some photos too, there is always a little bribery for these photos, my mini marshmallows work a treat in getting attention!

Contact me if you have just had a baby and would like some newborn portraits in my studio in Fletchertown xx
