Haines family

I love portraits in the woods in the Autumn. The light is fab and fingers crossed there is some lovely sunshine! When I had the chance last year I managed to travel back to Sheffield for some photo sessions.

Ecclesall Woods in Sheffield is a fantastic location for family portraits, I love it in the Autumn and also in the spring where it is carpeted with bluebells.

The Haines family were troopers for their photos despite the cold, there was lots of time for running around, hide and seek and cuddles.

I have so much fun with family photos, I can’t wait for lockdown to be lifted so I can start working again!

Family portraits in the Autumn

Back before lockdowns were a thing and families could meet up I did a lovely Autumnal portrait session in Bradfield near Sheffield for an extended family.

These photo sessions are lovely gift ideas for grandparents with cousins and families included. I tend to do these sessions outdoors where there is plenty of room to run around and in the Autumn obviously there is a lot of leaf throwing included!

Callum, Megan & Oliver, Bitts Park family portraits, Carlisle

I love Bitts Park in Carlisle, its lovely all times of year and now that Autumn is here and the leaves are turning its a fantastic location for family portraits.

It was lovely to meet cousins Callum, Megan and Oliver and their families for a joint photo session. We had lots of fun running around, collecting conkers and sticks and finding wild flowers to pose in!

I love the natural family portraits where the kids are running around enjoying the fresh air – the smiles are infectious.

Penny, Autumn family portaits, Lake District

I’ve photographed Penny since she was just 6 months old so it was lovely to see her again and meet the family dog too! We took advantage of the Autumn sunshine for her portrait session with lots of family laughs, running, chasing and hiding!

Penny was keen to bring along her favourite toys Pat and AJ too! I love photographing families outdoors, its so much more natural, the Autumn colours are my favourite and there is much more space to run around!
