Eva & Erin – sisters portraits

I’m sure by now you all know how much I love outdoor family portraits. Even with little babies its still possible to have portraits outside.

In the summer sunshine last year I headed to the Botanical Gardens in Sheffield for portraits with families.

Eva and Erin are so adorable together, posing for the camera and cuddling her little sister in the buttercups, I love these natural loving moments.

Perfect opportunity for running free, spinning and generally having fun!

Book in for your family portraits this summer with me for up to date photos of your family.

Connie, Gina & Theo – Graves Park portraits

Its always a pleasure to photograph this little family and it was amazing to meet little Theo. Despite the slightly sub-zero temperatures in the morning at Graves Park the family were happy to run around and pretend to be warm!

The springtime flowers in Graves Park are lovely, the rhododendron bushes are so brightly coloured and so big they are perfect for climbing inside too!

Such a cute little family, Connie and Gina are masters of posing skills by now and little Theo is so adored by everyone, such a happy little boy. I love the natural photos of them all cuddled together and we also had some fun blowing dandelion clocks too.

Lots of love to you all xx

Haines family

I love portraits in the woods in the Autumn. The light is fab and fingers crossed there is some lovely sunshine! When I had the chance last year I managed to travel back to Sheffield for some photo sessions.

Ecclesall Woods in Sheffield is a fantastic location for family portraits, I love it in the Autumn and also in the spring where it is carpeted with bluebells.

The Haines family were troopers for their photos despite the cold, there was lots of time for running around, hide and seek and cuddles.

I have so much fun with family photos, I can’t wait for lockdown to be lifted so I can start working again!

Tilly, Freddie & family

Ah, remember those carefree days when families could meet up in parks? We are heading back to summer last year for today’s blog. I had the pleasure of catching up with Tilly and Freddie in Sheffield Botanical Gardens and meeting their cousins too.

We had lots of fun hiding in trees doing silly poses and running around.

As always, my favourite photos are the natural ones, and I always join in the fun by playing peekaboo and running around too!

Looking forward to the days when I can get back to photographing families again!

Dexter & Oliver – Autumn portraits

Throughout the year I travel to Sheffield for weekends of mini family photo sessions. Obviously this year it was even harder for me to travel down but I managed to fit in the odd weekend here and there.

It was great to see little Dexter again and meet his new baby brother Oliver. We headed to Ecclesall Woods for their photos in the Autumn sunshine and showers! I love natural photos of the boys together, of course we had to throw some leaves too!

Give me a shout if you would love some portraits in the great outdoors, spring, summer or autumn – what’s your favourite season?

Sophie & Jennifer – Summer family portraits

I often head back to Sheffield (where I used to live) for family photo sessions throughout the year and the first weekend of the Summer Holidays was spent in the Botanical Gardens in Sheffield photographing lots of fantastic families.

Adorable sisters Sophie & Jennifer were so well behaved for their photos – there was lots of running around, cuddling and having fun!

These natural moments are definitely my favourite. Let me know if you would like an outdoor family photo shoot, there is no limit on the age of the children, I have even photographed newborn babies outside too!

Abbie & Hollie, bluebells in the forest

I love photographing children in the great outdoors, they can roam around free and I love the natural smiles I can get from them running around, playing hide and seek and jumping!

May is one of my favourite times to photograph outside as in Ecclesall Woods in Sheffield there is a carpet of bluebells every year.

Having photographed twins Abbie and Hollie a few years ago it was lovely to see them again and they are just the cutest in their matching dresses and were so loving and kind with each other!

What a lovely family – such magic moments to treasure xx

Georgie, newborn portraits Sheffield

I love photographing newborn portraits and its always fantastic to revisit families as they grow. I photographed little Amelia as a baby and she is now a big sister to little Georgie!

Georgie was very well behaved for her photos and her big sister Amelia was great at holding her for cuddles together too. We even managed to get a few family portraits with Millie the dog too!

I visited Sheffield for this photo session and do occasionally come back to Sheffield throughout the year for photo sessions. I am now based in Cumbria and photograph babies, bumps and families throughout the lovely Lake District – contact me to book in a photo shoot!

Connie, Gina & family, Sheffield family photography

I headed to Sheffield recently (where I used to live) for a weekend of spring themed photo sessions in the beautiful Sheffield Botanical Gardens.

Its one of my favourite places in spring with the magnolia trees in bloom and hundreds of daffodils spread around.

It was a pleasure to see Connie, Gina and their family again, they are fantastic kids, running around tickling each other with feathers.

If you want to book in for an outdoor photo session contact me to arrange a date to suit you! I will be back in Sheffield throughout the year for mini photo sessions and am based in the Lake District which has lots of great opportunities for photographs!

Phoebe – Autumn family photographs

Having photographed Bryony & Alex’s wedding a few years ago it was a pleasure to meet their little one Phoebe!

Such an adorable little girl – think she was a bit bemused by my silly faces! Its a pleasure to photograph families especially in the natural outdoor settings letting the children roam free! Autumn is one of my favourite times of the year and the colours on the trees are amazing, plus the leaves are great fun to throw around!
