Julie – Maternity portraits

Julie came to visit me in my studio in Fletchertown just before Christmas. It was therefore a great idea to wear a Christmas jumper!

Love Julie and her husband’s disney jumpers, so cute! Julie had brought along a couple of dresses to wear for the photo session too, as well as using some of my maternity gowns in my collection.

I love to incorporate props into maternity sessions like scan photos and baby booties. It’s always lovely to see baby in these props afterwards.

My studio is next to some pretty grounds for photos too so it’s always possible to do some outdoor portraits as well as inside too – especially in the winter!

If you are expecting a new arrival soon the best time to book in for maternity photos is around 34-36 weeks gestation. Drop me a message to capture your bumps!

Alex – maternity portraits

Alex and her partner came into the studio for some portraits before their little one arrived.

I usually do maternity sessions around 36 weeks when you have a big bump but not too late that you are about to go into labour!

Alex brought some outfits with her for photos as well as using some of my maternity gowns. As the weather was nice too we managed to head outside for some photos too.

Its always lovely to do photos outside, especially when the scenery near the studio is so lovely.

Fletchertown where my studio is based is situated just off the A595 near Wigton & Aspatria. The ideal location for photos. Maternity portraits are lovely and a great way of celebrating your pregnancy.

Alex and Tim came back when their baby was born too – I have special offers for photo sessions when you book maternity and newborn portraits together, drop me a message for more information

Anxhela – Maternity portraits

At 36 weeks it’s a fantastic time to book a maternity photo session. My cosy studio in Fletchertown is the ideal place to capture those special memories of your bump.

Anxhela looked amazing although she was recovering from a cold, you couldn’t tell! She brought along some props and some fab ideas for her portraits.

As well as the gowns I have for maternity sessions she brought along a shirt, flowers and an incredibly long length of chiffon!

She looks amazing in her outfit combinations and I love the flowers as a prop too, great idea! I love using a scan photo or little baby booties for photos too as this makes for a lovely photo comparison when baby is born too.

We then had some fun with the chiffon, getting her partner to throw it up in the air so we could get those dramatic Beyonce style photos!

I can’t wait to meet the little one! Good luck!

Stephanie – Maternity portraits

Maternity portraits in Cumbria are a great idea. Capturing the last few weeks before baby arrives and before two become three!

Stephanie was around 36 weeks when she came to the studio with her husband for some maternity photos.

My studio is based in Fletchertown near Aspatria and Wigton. The advantage of the studio in the summertime is that outside there is some lovely spaces for photos too so we made sure to take advantage of the sunshine!

Stephanie brought a few outfits for the photos as well as using some of the maternity gowns I have as well. Little props are good to use as well like scan photos and baby booties.

Its lovely to see people come back with their babies afterwards too – stay tuned for baby portraits!

Cara – Maternity portraits, Wigton

Cara is 37 weeks and looks absolutely amazing – not a stretch mark in sight! We did her maternity portraits in the space I can use as a studio in Fletchertown. Cara is expecting a little boy and she already has a little hat and a teddy picked out for her little one so it was nice to incorporate these into the photos.

Can’t wait to meet the new addition soon! xx

Emma – Maternity portraits, Lake District, Cumbria

Having photographed Emma’s little boy Milo several times it was fantastic to hear she was expecting another addition to her family. Given it was summer it is a perfect time to do a maternity portrait shoot outdoors rather than inside.

The flowers make a fantastic backdrop for the photos and Emma looks amazing. I love Milo’s “promotion to big brother” t-shirt! Such a great way to include him in the photos.

I usually do maternity sessions around 36 weeks, any later and baby may make an appearance! The sessions can either take place indoors in the comfort of your own home or outdoors, whatever suits you best!

Contact me to book in your session now!
