Archie & Olivia – Keswick portraits

I love to photograph families outside as not only do we live in an amazing area for photographs but also kids much prefer running around in nature!

In Keswick there is a lovely area called Hope Park near the lake. In the middle of the park is a fab patch of daffodils, perfect for springtime portraits. There are also several blossom trees in the park too.

Archie and Olivia had fun holding daffodils and running around. We also played some hide and seek which is always good for fun photos.

I will be back in Keswick photographing families in April, let me know if you would like more details

Keswick maternity portraits

If you are on holiday in the Lake District why not take advantage of the amazing scenery for a maternity photo session?

I met this happy couple who were on holiday in the Lakes, I suggested the area around Keswick for photos which was perfect for the stunning views.

The park next to the lake has a great location, the Autumn leaves were a fab addition, we even had fun throwing them around!

After photos in the park we headed down to the lake and the jetty for photos, avoiding the scary geese!

We had a little walk up to Friar’s Crag too for photos. Despite the chill in the air the weather was lovely and if you can brave getting your bump out in the Autumn it’s always worth it!

Willow & Eva – Lingholm portraits, Keswick

I first met Willow and Eva in Sheffield for a photo session there in the bluebells so it was lovely to be asked to capture their family holiday at Lingholm Estate in Keswick.

Lingholm gardens are a fantastic place and guests have access to the jetty too. It was a shame it was typical Cumbrian weather for their photo session but that didn’t dampen the girls enthusiasm!

There was jumping, running and posing galore and then time to warm up afterwards with a hot chocolate!

Capturing families on holiday in the Lake District is something I really enjoy and its a great way to capture memories for your family.

Ruby – Autumn portraits, Dodd Wood

Ah Autumn, my favourite time of the year! I love the colours on the trees and of course throwing leaves around!

Its so lovely to get photos of babies as they grow and now little Ruby is nearly 6 months old it was an ideal time for updated photos.

We managed to get a non rainy day for photos in Dodd Wood and Ruby was enjoying looking at the leaves and of course everyone making funny noises to get her to smile.

Its a true pleasure to see families grow and the natural environment is great for photos as kids get older.

Give me a shout if you want to book an outdoor photo session for your family.

Finn & Poppy – Dodd Wood Autumn portraits

What’s your favourite time of the year? Mine has to be Autumn, I love those lovely sunny days where the light is bouncing off the leaves and you can have fun with leaf fights!

Dodd Wood on the outskirts of Keswick is fantastic, there are lots of little walks to go on and a fab stream running through as well.

It was lovely to see Finn and Poppy again for some up to date Autumnal photos in the forest. Both were fantastic at posing, hiding behind trees and of course throwing lots of leaves!

I love the natural photos too of everyone laughing and having fun, that’s why outdoors portraits are so fab.

Contact me if you would love to book a winter portrait session for your family.

Autumn portraits, Lake District family photographers

Lake District baby portraits are the most fun in the Autumn, I love the colours and the fun you can have throwing leaves. My favourite photos are the natural ones where you are having fun with your little bundle. Little Hugo enjoyed lots of fun trying to eat leaves and being thrown around by Mum and Dad – these natural smiles are my favourite!

Connie, Gina & family, Sheffield family photography

I headed to Sheffield recently (where I used to live) for a weekend of spring themed photo sessions in the beautiful Sheffield Botanical Gardens.

Its one of my favourite places in spring with the magnolia trees in bloom and hundreds of daffodils spread around.

It was a pleasure to see Connie, Gina and their family again, they are fantastic kids, running around tickling each other with feathers.

If you want to book in for an outdoor photo session contact me to arrange a date to suit you! I will be back in Sheffield throughout the year for mini photo sessions and am based in the Lake District which has lots of great opportunities for photographs!

Poppy & Theo – Lake District Autumn family portraits

Ahh, winter sunshine, love the way it filters through the trees and you can get all snuggled up in your winter warmers for a walk in the woods with your family. Why not ask me to join you for some fun, relaxed family photographs?

Poppy and Theo are adorable brother and sister willing to throw leaves, run around and even floss for a photo! With the sunshine coming through the woods it was a perfect location for photographs. The Lake District is full of beautiful places for photos in the winter – just give me a shout if you want to book in a photo shoot – promise I won’t make you floss!
