Poppy & Nell

Its always great to see children coming back to the studio again for more photos. I last met Poppy when she was turning 2. Now she is about to turn 3 and brought her little sister Nell in for photos too.

Nell is 6 months and such a cute little smiler, how adorable is she in her little dress!

Poppy took advantage of my teepee for hiding for photos and loved trailing flowers around too and generally running around. Perfect for those fun photos, I am a ninja at getting photos of kids in action!

A great way to celebrate a milestone year, book the studio in to celebrate your own special occasion. For first birthdays I even do cake smashes too!

Louise, maternity portraits

Its been a while since I have done a maternity photo session so it was lovely to see Louise and her bump in the studio last week.

Louise brought along little Sophia who entertained us all. She was fantastic for her photos and showed us what a great big sister she was by bringing her baby doll along! I love photos of her peeping out from her Mum and Dad’s legs!

Louise looks stunning, she looked fab even draped in a sheet! I love the classic photos like this just emphasizing her bump.

After photos in the studio we headed outside for a few portraits in the park in Fletchertown, we even managed to find some daffodils too.

I usually do maternity sessions around 36 weeks pregnant. Contact me if you would like to book in a studio or outdoors photo session.

Shannon, maternity portraits

Your pregnancy is such a special time, obviously apart from the morning sickness and heartburn!

What better way to document your bump than with a maternity photo session? Shannon opted for a studio and outdoors maternity photo session. I usually do photo sessions around 36 weeks pregnant, any later and you may go into labour!

Shannon’s studio session captured her and baby’s Dad too. I’m sure you will agree she looks amazing. After photos in the studio we headed outside for some photos outdoors in the park in Fletchertown. I love how natural the photos in the long grass are.

Contact me if you want to book in a baby bump session of your own!

Baby Freya, newborn portraits

Freya visited the studio last year in Fletchertown for her newborn portraits. I love all her fabulous dark hair, so adorable!

She was an absolute superstar for her photos, we managed to use several cute hats and headbands which look so lovely and also get a photo of her with a teddy too.

After photos of Freya on her own it was time for photos with Mum and Dad too. These are always so special to do as I love the connection between baby and parents.

Always worth doing!

Let me know if you would like to book a studio or at home photo session.

Elsie, newborn photographs

I love a newborn session around Christmas time, little Elsie was just over two weeks old when she came for her portraits. We did the session in my pop up studio in Fletchertown. Her big brother was on hand to pick out the best hats for the photos and of course show off how smart he looks in his little outfit!

We also had time for photos in Christmas clothes too, because lets face it, how adorable is a Christmas pudding onesie!

I love the photos of the family together too, mostly I know people are not keen to be on the photographs but I love the emotion captured when a family is all cuddled up together, special moments like these are to be treasured.

Contact me to book in your newborn photo session – these can be done in my studio in Fletchertown or I can come to you at home if you would prefer.

We had time for some Christmas photos with the both of them before some more newborn portraits. Freddie was ever so good with his brother until it was time for biscuits!

Sisters family photos – Fletchertown

Yay for my first photo session after lockdown! I was so happy to be back photographing again. I am able to keep social distancing by using my long lens allowing me to get all those lovely close ups without getting too close!

The amazing long grasses and wild flowers around Fletchertown near Wigton are fantastic to run around and it was a pleasure to photograph these sisters again.

Charlotte wasn’t too keen on being photographed but we managed to get some sneaky photos of her with flowers and getting a piggyback from big sister Jamie-Leigh!

I love fun, natural photos – and the smiles of the sisters having fun is great, they were so funny with their poses and jumping skills.

Cute!

If you would like a mini photo session either in Fletchertown or in the Lakes somewhere just give me a shout!

Georgie, Valentines portraits

I love to photograph mini studio sessions throughout the year and theming them is one of my favourite things to do.

With Valentines happening recently it was an excuse for hearts, flowers and adorable little Georgie came back to see me for a session.

The last time I saw her she was a tiny newborn! For an at home family lifestyle session.

She is such a cutie and loved the confetti and balloons – how adorable does she look in the floral halo too! Super cute!

Contact me to find out about upcoming mini portrait sessions – maybe with the Easter bunny….?!!

Freddie & Ivy, newborn photography in Sheffield

Having photographed Ivy as a newborn it was a pleasure to come back and photograph her new baby brother Freddie.

I often return to Sheffield for family portraits so it was lovely to see the Briggs family again. We also photographed Nicola and David’s wedding too!

Freddie was a little star for his photos and Ivy looked on very interested too, we managed to get a few photos of them together too – so cute. I love the natural photos of the whole family together.

Portraits at home are so much more personal, you feel more relaxed and baby does too.

Delphie & Jacob – newborn portraits in the summer sunshine

I love doing newborn portraits outside, it makes a nice change and in the summer sunshine its lovely! It was fantastic to see Jacob again and meet his new sister Delphie, so cute!

We headed to the Botanical Gardens in Sheffield for the photo session, getting some cute squishy photos of Delphie and then chasing Jacob around the gardens too! I love how children are so much more comfortable outside and I keep photo sessions very natural capturing families at ease and kids in their element!

Contact me to book in your photo session – it can be inside or outside – weather dependent!
