Georgina, Wigton newborn photographs

Tiny squishy newborn portraits are my favourite. Georgina was tiny at just under two weeks old and was as good as gold for her photos – she even pulled out a few smiles for us!

As much as I love photos of baby on their own in cute hats and blankets my favourite images are always the ones of baby with Mum and Dad – there is something magical about capturing that little bubble of time after you get home with baby and enjoy long snuggles in bed and marveling at how tiny they are. I love to capture these moments naturally in the comfort of your own home.

Let me know if you are expecting a new arrival and want to book in for a newborn photo session – these are best done in the first two weeks of baby arriving.

Delphie & Jacob – newborn portraits in the summer sunshine

I love doing newborn portraits outside, it makes a nice change and in the summer sunshine its lovely! It was fantastic to see Jacob again and meet his new sister Delphie, so cute!

We headed to the Botanical Gardens in Sheffield for the photo session, getting some cute squishy photos of Delphie and then chasing Jacob around the gardens too! I love how children are so much more comfortable outside and I keep photo sessions very natural capturing families at ease and kids in their element!

Adam, newborn photography Wigton

I love meeting new families and its so special when a new baby arrives into a family – Adam is lucky to have two adorable big sisters who will definately be doting on him as he gets older!

We did Adam’s newborn photo session in the space I have access to in Fletchertown near Wigton.

Adam was well behaved for his photos although not sure he was keen on those hats! I love the photos of him with his sisters – these are so cute!

Plus can I just say – how amazing does Mum look too! I know how hard it is to feel comfortable in front of the camera after giving birth but I think its so worth it to have photos of you with your little one too even if you have had no sleep!

Isabelle, Wigton newborn photographs

Little Isabelle is just over two weeks old and such a cutie, look at that cheeky little smile!

We took her portraits in my pop up studio in Fletchertown. Despite early smiles she wasn’t too keen on sleeping preferring cuddles instead!

I love the photos of baby cuddled up with her parents, these photos show the real emotion and joy of having a new baby. My favourite!

Archie, Carlisle newborn photography

I think when I did Rachel’s pregnancy photo session I predicted she would have a boy but then I am having a run on baby boys being born!

It was lovely to meet little Archie for his newborn portraits – hes a teeny tiny little one under 7lbs and so adorable with his beautiful head of hair!

He was a little angel for his photos, I particularly like the images of the family together – there is something special about the bond you all share in those first few weeks and even if you are not feeling at your best its worthwhile getting photos of you with your baby – these are moments you will treasure forever!

Ramsey, newborn photographs Workington

Ramsey is just 8 days old and so adorable – love those squidgy cheeks! I met him in his Grandparents house in Stainburn.

He wasn’t feeling too sleepy but we have lots of lovely photos with his beautiful big eyes open – so cute!

I love using little hats too and Ramsey looked adorable with the rabbit hat and his toy rabbit too, bless him.

Ethan – Autumnal family portraits – Carlisle

As a newborn and family photographer based in the lovely Lake District I really enjoy doing family portraits outdoors rather than in a studio – the kids can run free and the colours as the seasons changes are always amazing.

Autumnal portraits are a personal favourite of mine. I last saw Ethan when he was 6 months old so it was fab to see him again as a fully fledged toddler! We had some great fun throwing leaves around and peeping around trees. He has the most adorable smile!

Sophie – Carlisle newborn photographers

I love photographing newborn babies and meeting a new family – there is so much excitement in the air – or is it tiredness?!

Little Sophie is so adorable and very alert – she wanted lots of snuggles with Mum & Dad – I love to capture these natural moments when you are just cuddling your little bundle. As I work in your own home I can also get some photographs of baby in their new nursery. I love Sophie’s nursery with the rabbit print on the wall – very cute!
