I met Elora’s big sister Sophia not long before this photo session. She and her Mum Louise visited my studio for some maternity portraits where Sophia stole the show, posing!

Not long afterwards her new little sister Elora arrived. Such a cute little baby. Sophia and Honey came along too as well as Mum and Dad.

We managed to get some photos of Elora sleepy in lots of hats and headbands whilst Sophia and Honey posed alongside her as well. Devoted big sisters.

I love the photos of Mum and Dad with baby too, its always worth getting these special shots, even if you are not feeling at your best after giving birth!

Newborn sessions are best done within the first two weeks of baby arriving but are possible to do with older babies too, book in a session around your due date to make sure you don’t miss out.

It gives me joy as a baby and family photographer in Carlisle to watch families grow. I first photographed Jake when he was inside his Mummy’s tummy and then again as a tiny newborn so it was a real pleasure to see him again at around 7 months old for photos outside in the Autumn sunshine in the Lake District.

He was such a cheeky little baby – with some adorable smiles – he loved all the leaf throwing just as much as his Mum & Dad! Love his little bobble hat and colourful leggings too – Autumn is a fantastic time to be colourful – any excuse for a cute hat I say!
